Ocean wildlife are under threat from plastics. To date, nearly 1,300 marine species have been documented with plastics in their bodies, and more than 11 million metric tons of plastics enter our ocean every year—that’s more than a garbage trucks’ worth of plastics every minute.
We must act now to combat the plastics crisis. Ocean Conservancy has been working for more than 35 years to tackle this crisis, we know the three-part recipe: we need to reduce, manage and continue clean ups.
